Sequence encompassing a portion of exon 3 and all of exons 4 through 7 was replaced by a PGK-hprt cassette. Endogenous mRNA was undetected by Northern blot analysis of liver tissue obtained from homozygous mutant mice. Western blot analysis of sera indicated an absence of protein. (J:46185)
