A construct, containing Gap43 sequence followed by IRES-NLS-LacZ and neo, was inserted at the endogenous locus. Northern blot analysis of homozygous mutant mice confirmed the presence of Gap43 transcript produced from the inserted sequence as well as the absence of Basp1 transcript. (J:63023)
