Murine Ccnd2 cDNA sequence preceded by a beta-globin intron was ligated to 5.2 kb of bovine KRT5 regulatory sequence. The KRT5 promoter directed expression in basal cells of squamous stratified epithelia. Expression of the transgenic protein was detected by Western blot analysis of epidermal tissue. Quantification of the Western blot results indicated a nearly two-fold increase relative to wild-type samples. (J:64388)
