The transgene is composed of a DNA-binding defective form of mutant Foxg1 (designated NHAA) fused to the tetO promoter, used to controle expression in the presence of the tet transactivator protein, and an IRESlacZ cassette. Transgene expression was verified by X-gal staining of frozen embryo sections. (J:78115)
