Most of the coding region was replaced with a tetracycline transactivator (tTA) gene and neomycin cassette. The tTA sequence was fused in-frame following the first 13 codons of the gene. In situ hybridization analysis of E13.5 mutant embryos demonstrates that tTA expression closely matches that of Foxg1 in the telencephalon and olfactory epithelium. (J:78115)
