The floxed neo cassette was removed from Dab1tm3Cpr via in vivo cre mediated excision. The inserted 271 codon cDNA fragment was left intact. Translation produces a truncated protein (p45) containing 30 unique residues in place of the endogenous 314 carboxy residues. Western blot analysis of homozygous mutant mice showed the exclusive presence of p45 protein, p80 was undetected. (J:74239)
