A construct containing a loxP site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette and a splice acceptor attached to a cDNA fragment followed by a polyadenylation signal was inserted in the endogenous locus. The cDNA is for the second coding exon onwards of the p45 isoform that lacks the C terminus of the longer isoform. (J:74239)
