Exon 7, which encodes the fourth zinc finger of the amino terminal zinc finger cluster, the Madh binding domain, the homeodomain like sequence, and the CtBP binding sites, were deleted along with a floxed neo cassette by in vivo cre recombination of Zhx1btm1Yhi. The absence of protein was confirmed by Western blot analysis of homozygous mutant mice. (J:75138)
