Exons 1-2 (732 bp of the gene) encoding the first 134 residues were replaced with a human CD2 reporter gene fused to a neomycin resistance cassette. Northern blot analysis of spleen RNA using probes to the deleted region did not detect gene transcript in homozygous mutant animals. (J:71681)
