A human Il6st cDNA fragment carrying tyrosine to phenylalanine substitutions at amino acids 767, 814, 905, and 915, was used to replaced the corresponding region of the mouse gene. A downstream neomycin resistance cassette was also inserted for positive selection. (J:59922)
