The gene was disrupted by insertion of a neomycin resistance cassette into exon 2 via homologous recombination. RT-PCR analysis detected the presence of the neo insertion allele in homozygous mutant animals. Absence of protein function in homozygous mutants was confirmed by bioassay using tracheal smooth muscle samples. (J:61023)
