This allele is derived from Rr320tm1Mgk. The 24 kb region of the gene containing 5' HS sites 1-6 flanked by loxP sites were removed by mating mutant animals to a cre-expressing line. Correct removal of the floxed sequence was confirmed by Southern blot analysis. (J:60714)
