Hydin^{hy3-Tg(Bdnf)459Ove}

A transgene expressing Bdnf inserted randomly into the hy3 gene. Matings between mice carrying this allele and hy3 mice demonstrated that these two mutations fail to complement each other, and suggests that these two mutations are allelic and very likely result from disrupted function of the same gene or set of genes.
