A portion of exon 2 was replaced with the mature domain of Inhbb and a neomycin resistance cassette was inserted into the downstream intron via homologous recombination. In situ hybridization, RNase protection assay, and Western blot verified the absence of Inhba expression in homozygous mutant animals. (J:63882)
