The floxed neo cassette was excised from Tyrobptm1Viv via ubiquitous in vivo expression of cre recombinase. RT-PCR analysis showed that the sequence inserted to replace a region encoding a portion of the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM) was left intact along with a single upstream loxP site.
