Exons 2-4 were replaced with a betageo cassette via homologous recombination. The targeted mutation results in splicing of exon 1 to the betageo cassette which introduces stop codons in all reading frames. Homozygous mutant embryos were detected up to day E18.5 and did not express Nup50 protein as determined by Western blot analysis. (J:63241)
