The floxed fragment containing exon 8 was excised from Raratm3Ipc by mating with mice carrying Tg(CMV-cre)1Ipc . The deletion eliminated the majority of the DNA binding domain and introduced a frameshift mutation. A lack of protein expression was demonstrated in homozygous mutant mice via immunohistochemical analysis of testis sections. (J:75135)
