An activated form of human NR1I2 cDNA fused a mouse liver-specific albumin promoter was used as the transgene. A sequence from the herpes simplex virus VP16 activation domain at the amino terminus of NR1I2 confers activated status to the human protein. Expression of the human transgene was verified by Northern blot analysis of liver tissue from transgenic animals. (J:63639)
