The gene was disrupted by replacement of exon 4 and part of exon 5 with a neomycin resistance cassette via homologous recombination. Homozygous mutant embryos were detected by Southern blot up to day E10.5. Homozygous mutant embryos lacked gene expression as demonstrated by RT-PCR and Western blot analysis. (J:64899)
