Exons 1, 2, and 3 were replaced by a neomycin selection cassette via homologous recombination. Homozygous mutant mice were shown to lack transcript by RT-PCR analysis. Western blot analysis showed that the mutant allele did not lead to the produciton of protein. (J:67374)
