The gene was disrupted by replacement of a highly conserved exon (encoding amino acids 855-893 in the central portion of the CDC25-H domain) with a PGK-neo cassette via homologous recombination. Western blot analysis of tissues from homozygous mutant animals using antibodies directed against the N-terminal and C-terminal regions of the protein did not detect any form of gene expression.
