The entire coding region was left floxed after the breeding of mice possessing Hoxa2tm1Fmr with transgenic mice expressing Flp recombinase, which resulted in the excision of the frt flanked neo cassette from the 3' untranslated region. RT-PCR analysis of embryos homozygous for this allele showed expression levels to be reduced by 10% to 15% relative to the expression levels determined in wild-type embryos. (J:75130)
