Nfatc1^tm2Glm

Sequence encoding 19 amino acids (635-653) of the Rel-homology domain were replaced with a hygromycin selection cassette. A frameshift mutation was introduced into the downstream sequence encoding amino acids 654 through 710. Western blot analysis showed the presence of truncated peptide in homozygous mutant mice. Electromobility shift assays showed a lack of DNA-binding activity. Generated in ES cells already carrying the Nfatc1tm2Glm allele on the other chromosome. These mice were studied as chimeras made in blastocysts homozygous for an unspecified Rag2 knockout (J:78376)
