A 2.2 kb region of the gene including the promoter and an exon was replaced with a PGK-neo cassette via homologous recombination. Northern blot analysis using the full cDNA sequence as a probe demonstrated the absence of gene expression in liver from homozygous mutant animals. (J:53267)
