Exon 2 was deleted and replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Transcript was undetected in homozygous mutant mice via Northern blot and RT-PCR analyses. The absence of the protein product of the endogenous locus was shown by FACS analysis of natural killer cells, macrophages, and neutrophils obtained from homozygous mutant mice. (J:50023)
