Tyrosine to phenylalanine mutations were introduced at positions identified as being critical for the binding of signaling molecules (136, 175, 195, and 235) via site-directed mutagenesis. A floxed neomycin selection cassette was inserted downstream of the coding region. Mice carrying this allele were bred with transgenic mice expressing cre recombinase via the EIIa promoter to generate Lattm2.1Lov. (J:77695)
