Approximately one-third of the coding sequence was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette into exon 4. A trunctated transcript was identified in homozygous mutant mice by Northern blot and RT-PCR analyses. Western blot analysis, using antibodies directed against the amino and carboxy termini, showed the absence of protein. (J:77728)
