This hypomorphic allele was identified in conjunction with Pthrtm2Hmk. Southern blot analyses showed three copies of the targeting vector, containing a floxed exon 1, at the endogenous locus. Levels of transcript were determined to be reduced in homozygous mutant mice via in situ hybridization of the growth plate and Northern blot analysis of total renal RNA. (J:77683)
