Portions of exons 2 and 3 were deleted by the insertion of a cassette containing lacZ and neo genes. The absence of encoded protein in homozygous mutant mice was determined via Western blot analysis of testicular lysates and immunofluorescent microscopy of testicular sections. (J:77804, J:85634)
