Exons 2-9 were replaced with an FRT-flanked neo cassette via homologous recombination. The targeting vector introduces stop codons in all 3 reading frames. Gene transcripts were absent in testes from homozygous mutant animals as assayed by RT-PCR analysis using primers to exons 5 and 6. (J:72945)
