A point mutation was introduced into codon 101 (exon 4) resulting in the substitution of histidine with arginine (H101R). The targeting vector also contained a floxed neomycin cassette in intron 3 for selection. Mice carrying this allele were bred with transgenic mice expressing cre recombinase to generate Gabra2tm1.1Uru. (J:65100)
