The gene was disrupted by insertion of a PGK-neo cassette 140 bp downstream of the ATG start codon via homologous recombination, resulting in the deletion of the entire C-terminal region after amino acid 47 in the encoded protein. Genotype analysis detected homozygous mutant embryos at 3.5 days post coitum. No homozygous mutant animals could be recovered. (J:70591)
