Exon 4 and part of exon 3, which encode amino acids 92-159 that are involved in interaction with Map3k4, were replaced with a neomycin resistance gene via homologous recombination. Northern blot analysis of IL-2 activated T cells from homozygous mutant animals showed no detectable gene expression. (J:69475)
