A neomycin selection cassette replaced genomic sequence encoding amino acids 53 through 332 (the carboxy terminus) of the encoded protein. The deletion includes all the coding sequence for the mature, processed form of the protein. Northern blot analysis revealed that no transcripts expressed from this gene were present in RNA derived from homozygous mice. (J:77247)
