A 0.3 kb fragment of exon 1, which includes the translation initiation codon, was replaced with a PGK-neo cassette via homologous recombination. The knockout allele was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis of various tissues from homozygous mutant animals. No gene expression was detected. (J:75628)
