A 2.4kb region encoding the PC and ENV motifs was replaced with a cassette containing IRES-lacZ and neo. Northern blot analysis of total RNA showed transcript levels to be reduced in heterozygous mice. X-gal staining of heterozygous embryos revealed expression of beta-galactosidase. (J:58298)
