Exon 11, which encodes the transmembrane and cytoplasmic receptor domains, was replaced with a neomycin selection gene by homologous recombination. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated that no full length transcript was made in homozygous mice. Radioimmunoassays confirmed that no functional protein was present in homozygous mice. (J:66818)
