LoxP sites were inserted flanking exons 3 and 4, and a promoterless lacZ gene was inserted 3' to the loxP insertions. An frt-flanked neomycin selection cassette was also inserted downstream of of the lacZ gene. This allele is reported to behave as a hypomorph. (J:75136)
