The gene was disrupted by insertion of a neomycin cassette into exon 4 via homologous recombination. Northern blot analysis of various tissues from homozygous animals detected very low levels of mutant mRNA indicating transcript instability. Western blot and enzyme analysis did not detect protein product or activity. (J:76763)
