The insertion of a PGK-neo cassette deleted 200 nucleotides of exon 1 encoding a portion of the LXCXE motif. Northern blot analysis revealed an absence of transcript in homozygous mutant mice. Protein expression was not detected by Western blot analyses of extracts from homozygous mutant kidney, lung, and seminal vesicle tissue. (J:29258)
