A stop codon was introduced into exon 5 and a neo cassette was inserted into exon 6 via homologous recombination. The neo insertion disrupts 4 cysteine residues that are conserved within the cytokine receptor family. Absence of gene expression was verified by flow cytometry analysis of resting peritoneal cells from homozygous mutant animals. (J:33140)
