This allele was generated by breeding mice heterozygous for Dlx5tm1Levi with CMV-Cre transgenic mice. The floxed neomycin resistance gene, which was used to delete a portions of exon 1 and 3 and all of exon 2, was excised, leaving the lacZ gene intact. (J:56557)
