The gene was disrupted by insertion of a neomycin resistance cassette into exon 2 via homologous recombination. Absence of gene expression in thymocytes of homozygous mutant animals was verified by Western blot analysis. This mutation disrupts the two major isoforms of this locus. (J:15272)
