An exon encoding amino acids 160-217 was replaced with a neomycin resistance cassette via homologous recombination. Southern blot analysis confirmed the targeted allele. Western blot of lymphocytes from homozygous mutant animals could not determine conclusively if the protein was absent or merely truncated. (J:76243)
