Exon 1 of this gene was disrupted by insertion of a lacZneo-derived cassette via homologous recombination. RT-PCR and Northern blot analysis of brain RNA and Western blot analysis of brain membrane proteins from homozygous mutant animals verified the absence of gene expression. (J:62285)
