Exon 2 of this gene was disrupted by the insertion of a neo cassette via homologous recombination. Northern blot analysis detected mutant transcript from the stomachs of homozygous mutant animals. Western blot of gastric cytosol and immunohistochemistry of stomach from homozygous mutant animals did not detect protein product. (J:35923)
