Exon 2 of this gene was replaced with a neo cassette via homologous recombination resulting in the deletion of the trefoil domain. Absence of gene expression in the gastrointestinal tract of homozygous mutant animals was confirmed by Northern blot analysis and immunohistochemistry. (J:35882)
