Exon 3 and most of exon 2 were replaced by a BetaGal-PGK-neo cassette, in which the BetaGal coding region was fused in frame to the third codon of exon 2. Northern analysis from multiple tissues confirmed the lack of endogenous transcript. (J:71266)
