Insertion of a transgene consisting of a Bmi1 gene linked to a Pim1 promoter, the immunoglobulin enhancer, and a Moloney murine leukemia virus LTR causes overexpression of BMI1 in thymus, bone marrow, and spleen. This promoter and enhancer module gives high levels of transgene expression in lymphoid cells and is active early in development. (J:24505)
