An IRES-lacZ gene followed by a neomycin selection cassette was inserted into exon 5. RT-PCR analysis confirmed the expression of a mutant transcipt, and whole mount staining of embryos demonstrated that beta-galactosidase was expressed from this allele. (J:71498)
